NEO has been instructed by Creare Ltd to provide highways and transportation advice regarding the conversion of the former Dartmouth Hospital to residential and commercial use. The prominent sea front location was previously occupied by the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust and operated as Dartmouth Hospital until 2017.
The proposals are to bring the currently unused site back in to use with the redevelopment to provide 9 residential units and commercial use on the ground floor. NEO worked closely with the project team to produce a site layout which respected the need for parking on site but considered the sustainable nature of the town centre location.
A Transport Statement, Travel Plan and Outline Construction and Logistics Plan were prepared and submitted with the planning application.
